Legacy Bank has a rich history that began with its founder, Harrison Miller, who established the first bank building in the growing community of Hinton. Despite setbacks like a robbery in 1923, led by three bandits, Mr. Miller steered the bank through various challenges, including wars, winds, droughts, and the Great Depression.
In 1954, the bank transitioned to new leadership, with Robert S. Carmack acquiring it. Under Mr. Carmack’s vision for growth and commitment to the community, the bank thrived for nearly four decades. In 1993, as a tribute to Mr. Carmack and his wife, Oleta, the bank changed its name to Legacy.
Celebrating a century in business in 2002, Legacy Bank continues to evolve. Now led by Stephen Carmack, the third CEO, Legacy remains dedicated to its Oklahoma community and aspires to be the state’s best bank in the future.
