In 1888, George L. Thomson and Walter S. Titus founded The North Side Bank to meet the needs of “Greater Cumminsville.” The bank initially operated in the Masonic Temple Building at Hamilton Avenue and Palm Street. Recognizing the demand, the founders officially incorporated The North Side Bank under Ohio laws with a capital of $25,000 in November 1891. Over 120 years later, the bank has experienced substantial growth, with capital now supporting assets exceeding $738 million.
